Hi, I'm Mandi, founder of Cubs & Co.

A boutique label established in June 2020 in Coogee Beach Sydney, a cosy coastal suburb that defines sun, sand and family.

However you stumbled across this blog, I'm so glad you’re here and would love to introduce myself and my company.

A bit about me

I have 2 young boys, well 4 actually if you count my husband and dog. We’re a very outdoorsy family and you will find us most weekends at the beach or park enjoying the sun.

Whilst on maternity leave with my second baby I started designing matching kids and adult’s snapback hats. I always struggled to find cool hats for them that they all loved and fitted their heads properly so I was very passionate getting it right. My husband always loved to be in matching outfits so I knew I had to design hats for the whole family!

Like most small businesses do, it started as a side hustle in between newborn and toddler duties. I always knew I wanted to be a working mum but the reality of going back to a full-time corporate job with 2 young kids and a husband that has a very demanding business was not that enticing.

As serendipity would have it, I received a voluntary redundancy whilst still on maternity leave and with that I took the leap and started production on my first order of snapback hats. 

Cubs & Co. was finally launched! 

After a long couple of years of planning, designing, production (the list goes on) my website was live, my hats had arrived and Cubs & Co. was officially launched! Then the hard work really started. 

If anyone thinks you build a website and customers will just come… they are most certainly mistaken. It’s an uphill battle and you have to work hard everyday but I absolutely love what I do and most importantly am so confident in my products that it makes my job easier and more rewarding. 

Now with winter fast approaching and hats obviously being more seasonal we have also launched our beanie range too.
